Kulbir S. Walia, M.D. is a physician who is double board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
After medical school, Dr. Walia completed his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where he served as an Administrative Chief Resident. He then trained in a Pain Medicine fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Walia specializes in the diagnosis and care of patients who suffer from chronic neck and back pain. He has expertise in Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) as well as cancer pain management. Dr. Walia is well-known for his warm and friendly approach with patients, along with his vast knowledge of conditions that can lead to chronic pain. He treats his patients using a combination of conservative therapies and minimally-invasive interventional measures.
Prior to joining Premier Pain Centers, Dr. Walia worked as a Pain Management Consultant for a private practice in Pennsylvania. He is also acknowledged for a thesis researching the effects of music and positive therapeutic suggestions in patients undergoing anesthesia for surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the American Academy of Pain Management, and Spine Intervention Society.
